New pentahotels opening in UK and Czech Republic this year

Hotel chain pentahotels have announced plans to open five new hotels in the UK and one in Prague in 2013. The company also have a hotel in development in Kowloon in Hong Kong that will open in summer 2013.

This marks the neighbourhood lifestyle hotel brand’s highest period of growth. They currently have 11 hotels in Germany, 1 in England, 1 in Austria and 2 in China. The amount of hotel rooms that they offer will grow from 2,925 to 4,409 with the expansion plans.

Managing director for pentahotels Europe, Alastair Thomann, said: “We are not only expanding our presence in existing locations but also opening up new markets. These new properties significantly accelerate pentahotels’ strategic growth with the goal of 80 hotels in operation globally by 2020.”

Pentahotels’ English locations will include new hotels in Derby, Birmingham, Inverness, Ipswich and Warrington. They are expected to open by the end of 2013. Their first hotel in the Czech Republic will be a 227 room hotel in Prague. The East Kowloon pentahotel will have 695 rooms.

In 2014 they are planning on increasing their Asian presence with new hotels in Guiyang and Shenyang.

The hotel brand aim to offer guests with a hotel experience that mixes fun, functionality, comfort, creativity, style and simplicity.
