A woman who began her hospitality career as a receptionist is now the general manager of one of the most well known hotels in Derby.
Theresa Snell started working at hotel chain Jurys at reception and is now replacing Andrew McLoughlin as the general manager of the 213-bedroom King Street hotel.
Mr McLoughlin has left to mange another Jurys Inn hotel.
35 year old Theresa started working at the hotel in 2001 and became the deputy general manager of Jurys Inn Sheffield in 2008.
She has come to the Derby hotel after working as the general manager at the Leeds Jury’s Inn.
She said: “I’m looking forward to working with the Derby team to ensure the continued success of the hotel.”
Chief operating officer of Jurys Inn, Joe Quinn, said: “It’s very rewarding to see employees that have joined us early in their careers realise their potential.”
