A Hoddesdon teenager will be giving the performance of her life when she sings and dances for hundreds of top politicians.

Daisy Cutler, 17, of Ditchfield Road, Hoddesdon, will be performing for 600 politicians at the Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference at Westminster Hall at the end of July. America’s President Barack Obama recently addressed the Houses of Parliament from the same venue.

Daisy said: “I am so excited. I watched Obama’s historic speech on the television and I can’t believe that we’ll actually be on the same steps, performing for such an important audience.”

Daisy is taking part in the event as a member of the West End Kids theatre, song and dance troupe. West End Kids were selected to perform at the event by a steering committee chaired by the Rt Hon Sir Alan Haselhurst MP following a recommendation from the Mayor of London’s office. It is the most prestigious event that the group has been asked to perform at in its 10-year history.
