Most businesses are struggling in the recession but one industry that is booming in Huddersfield is charity shops. Bargain hunters and hard up families are heading to the shops to find a great deal. Charity shops throughout the year have enjoyed their best ever year but unfortunately they are struggling to meet demand.

Huddersfield student’s stars on ITV2’s The Exclusives
20 year old Chris Goddard, a Huddersfield journalism student has swapped his day to day university life for television stardom. The student headed to London to take part in the new ITV2 programme The Exclusives which follows six wannabe journalists hoping to start a magazine career.
