A Student Union bar is the first in the county to be given a new accreditation for its good practices and quality of care for customers. The bar, at the University of Bedfordshire in Luton, has been given the nationally recognised ‘Best Bar None’ accreditation.

This year’s Taste of Luton Food Festival will be opened in style by French Michelin star chef Jean Christophe Novelli. The celebrity chef will perform the opening ceremony on September 10 in the town’s St George’s Square.
