Ramsey Heights event teaches youngsters about wildlife

An interactive lesson that tells children about how our wildlife is affected by seasonal changes was attended by a flock of youngsters.

The event was held at the Wildlife Trust Countryside Centre in Ramsey Heights.

The interactive ‘Winter Wildlife’ was held in the afternoon.

An event spokesman said: “Our interactive seminar gave children the chance to learn about how the snow affects wildlife at a talk in Ramsey.

“Visitors learnt about how British wildlife hibernates, where creatures build their winter homes and how to identify birds.”

Two of the event attendees were Scarlett and Harry Grimes who particularly loved looking at the birds with their mum Sam.

The event cost £2.50 per person or £6 per family which acted as a donation for the centre.
