A 92-year-old dentist who won a bronze medal back in 1950 at the British Empire Games was the oldest torchbearer for the London 2012 Olympics.

A dentist in Bournemouth is raising money to support a little boy from St Leonards by cycling from London to Paris. 44 year old Andy Thomas is aiming to raise £3,500 for DEBRA, a charity that works on behalf of people with rare genetic conditions such as Mason White. Mason suffers from Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), a condition that causes his skin to blister at the slightest touch.
