Head shave for Myton Hospice

Kind hearted 16 year old Shanice Martin has sacrificed her shoulder length hair in memory of five her mum’s colleagues who died of cancer. The teenager went to Wish hairdressers in Coventry for her big hair cut and managed to raise £550 for Myton Hospice. Several of Shanice’s mum’s colleagues from then Aylesford Intermediate Care Centre in Hillfields have died of cancer over the last few years and she wanted to raise money in their memory.

1940s fashions raise money for charity

You would be forgiven for thinking that you were back in the 1940s if you visited Coventry Canal Basin last week and saw all the retro outfits in display, but it was all for a charitable reason. Fashion students dressed in vintage and retro clothes at the fashion show at Ruby Tuesday’s hairdressers in Coventry to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
