Support for Donna Louise Children’s Hospice from Nantwich hotel

A hotel in Stoke onTrent has chosen The Donna Louise Children’s Hospice as its chosen charity for 2013.

Rookery Hall Hotel & Spa, a 19th century four star hotel in the Nantwich area, has pledged to support the charity, raise funds and provide awareness of its services.

The hospice has a purpose built home in Stoke-on-Trent where they provide care and support to more than 180 children and their families throughout South Cheshire and Staffordshire. They also provide care in children’s own homes.

The hospice provides care for children and young people, from newborn babies to 19 year olds that are suffering from life threatening or life limiting conditions.

General manager of Rookery Hall, Stephen Fearnley said: “The Donna Louise Children’s Hospice does such wonderful work in providing specialist care and support to sick children and families.”

Melanie Mills, the hospice’s director of fundraising and PR, said: “We are very excited to be working with the hotel and its staff team to raise funds towards the £2.4m running costs of the service.”
