Stoke on Trent hope to attract film directors to town
Local officials in Stoke on Trent are encouraging Hollywood’s top directors to use the area as a location for their films. Stoke on Trent City Council are working with arts organisation Creative England in the hopes of raising the profile of the city so that directors will consider as a filming location. Alcohol restriction zones in the Stoke-on-Trent area have proved successful as anti-social behavior and street drinking have fallen in the region. Figures collected by Stoke-on-Trent City Council have found that overall, anti-social behavior disturbances have fallen in the places where the bans were being used.
