Waterfront Quarter Moves A Step Closer Huddersfield hopes to be flooded with new jobs after its major waterfront development took a major step forward. Preparation work is due to start on the Waterfront Quarter scheme after Kirklees Council awarded a contract for the landscaping of the site. The land has planning permission for four new buildings, which will contain offices, shops, restaurants and bars.
