Top flight role for air cadet

An air cadet from Ilford has been selected from 4,000 young people for the job of a lifetime. Alexandra Dutch, of the Wanstead and Woodford Air Training Corps, Finchingfield Avenue, Woodford Green, has been chosen to accompany the Lord Lieutenant of Greater London, Sir David Brewer on some of his official engagements. Gulzaeb looks to make a difference

Gulzaeb Beg Ali, a model from the local area, was spotted when she was 15 years old by a make-up artist who wanted to use her for a photo shoot for a bridal magazine. Many more modelling jobs followed for the British Pakistani, and ten years later the model has featured in a host of magazines including Asian Woman, Asiana and Fanfare. Then she was offered the chance to present her own music show on Brit Asia TV.

Elvis’ daughter stars as Hainault charity ball raises £59,000

Elvis’ daughter Lisa Marie Presley was in the area watching with pride as a framed photograph of her father and one of his plectrums was auctioned off for an amazing £7,000. In total, the ball for the Dream Factory children’s charity raised £59,000 which will go towards making dreams come true for sick youngsters.
