Hotels in Swansea have enjoyed their most successful August in six years according to research carried out by business advisory firm Deloitte.
The research found that Swansea hotels were more successful than their Cardiff counterparts which only had 75% occupancy in August, while Swansea had 85%. The room rates in Swansea have also rose year on year to an average of £50.
Director of Deloitte in Wales, Paul Evans, said: “A strong performance in August will have been a welcome boost to the hotel sector in Swansea.”
He continued to say that Swansea had maintained growth in occupancy over the last three years and had also delivered an increase in revenue.
