Award Chance for Ward Hadaway Lawyer

A solicitor from the North East has been nominated for a top national award. Paula Myers, who is a partner in the commercial litigation team at Ward Hadaway solicitors in Newcastle, has been named in the shortlist for Contentious Solicitor of the Year by the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Solicitors (ACTAPS). The award recognises outstanding work in the field of contentious trust and probate issues and Myers is the only lawyer from the North of England that has been nominated.

Myers is one of three lawyers who have made the shortlist. She said: “It is a real honour to be nominated for such a prestigious award, particularly since it is decided by my peers and leading individuals in this area of law. Contentious trust and probate matters involving disputed estates and inheritances are on the increase at the moment, but they require extremely careful handling.

“At Ward Hadaway, we always strive to give our clients the very best advice in such situations, and hopefully my nomination for this award demonstrates the high quality of service which we provide.”

Myers has been specialising in litigation matters for the past 13 years and has advised companies and individuals in a range of disputes.
