Charitable shoebox collection at Tamworth garage

Heartlands Ford, one of the leading car dealerships and garages in Stoke on Trent are doing their bit for charity this festive season by encouraging people to create shoeboxes full of gifts for children in developing countries.

The car dealership is being turned into Santa’s grotto for the Operation Christmas Child appeal. The charity appeal works to send festive cheer to less fortunate people around the world.

The dealership will act as a drop-off point for the shoeboxes. The initiative is run in conjunction with the Samaritans Purse charity and asks for shoeboxes to be filled with toys and gifts to children in hospitals, orphanages, refugee camps, homeless shelters and impoverished neighbourhoods.

Heartlands Ford regional director, James Rant, said: “This is the fifth year we have taken part in the appeal. It’s an extremely worthwhile cause.”

You can drop your shoebox off at the Heartlands Ford showrooms on Saxon Drive from November 1st to November 18th.
