Hayley Davies full equity partner at JCP

Following recent legislation on non-solicitor partnerships, JCP Solicitors in Swansea has made its chief executive Hayley Davies a full equity partner.

Mrs Davies has been working at the law firm for 20 years and initially started work there as an evening typist. She then became an accounts manager and then started as chief executive officer in 2009. She has an MBA in legal practice.

Mrs Davies said: “JCP Solicitors is a large multi-disciplined firm which continues to strive to develop the services and expertise that we offer our clients. I am very much looking forward to working alongside the existing partners as we continue to develop our expert offering.

“JCP understands that a modern and successful business needs significant input from qualified management professionals. By embracing this change in legislation, JCP is demonstrating its determination to offer its clients and employees opportunities which will nurture performance and result in a constantly improving law firm.”

Managing partner at JCP Solicitors, Steve Penny, said: “Hayley has played a vital part in the development of JCP Solicitors and is a key factor in our continued success.

“Her appointment is testament to the role that she plays and recognition for what she has already achieved but this is not the end of the road, and we are confident that there are bigger and better things to come for Hayley and certainly for the firm.”

The firm has 18 partners and seven of these partners are women. 5 out of the 11 equity partners are women. JCP Solicitors has 96 employees.
