TV chef Jamie Oliver visited Swansea Bay to eat ice cream, go lobster fishing and hold a barbecue during filming for his new series.
Jamie was in town for two days and spent time with ice-cream business Verdi’s, in Mumbles.
Sara Mouzzi, daughter of the parlour’s founder Joe, said: “Jamie was fantastic, a really nice guy.
“He spent a couple of hours with us seeing how we make ice cream sundaes and knickerbocker glories, and having a go himself.
“He also spent a long time sitting and talking to my father about our Italian heritage, which he seemed to find really interesting.
“Afterwards he took the time to sign photographs and have his picture taken. He was wonderful.
“He then invited a lot of the staff to go surfing with him, but in the end the conditions weren’t right so he invited them to a barbecue.”
Jamie also did a spot of lobster fishing in Swansea Bay and then held a barbecue in Oxwich Bay during his visit.
The new TV series is expected to be shown later this year, although it is not clear what the theme is going to be.
Resident George Richards, 15, was out with his friends when they stumbled across the TV celebrity. He said: “I’d had my biology exam that day, and the group of us decided to go for a walk on the beach to relax.
“We could see a lot of action happening on the beach, and then we saw Jamie and the film crew.
“After they finished filming he came over and chatted and posed for a photo, he was really nice. We are all big fans of his, so it was great to meet him.”
