A world without hangovers?

As I get older, I’m noticing that my hangovers are lasting for longer and are much worse than when I was at uni!

The idea of having a few beers and waking up without a hangover would be a dream for me.

Well, Lidl might be answering my dreams with their ‘hangover-free’ prosecco.

That’s what the papers are calling it anyway. The reality is probably that your hangover might not be as bad as you would normally expect, but you can still expect to receive a bit of pain for your troubles.

The timing of this prosecco launch is perfect given that we are on the run-up to Christmas, which is no doubt why the bottle has been brought out in the first place.

The reality is that the wine is organic, which contains less sulphides thus contributing to a reduced hangover.

If you want to reduce the symptoms of a hangover, having a decent meal before you drink is important as this helps to soak up the alcohol.

Alternating between alcohol and water helps to dilute the booze as well, so this isn’t a bad tactic to adopt if you want to feel better than normal the morning after the night before.

Scientists say it is impossible to get away without having a hangover and that is probably for the best.

I always believe that your body has a way of telling you when you have reached your limits. You should listen to your body when this happens, and a hangover is your body’s way of telling you to stop.

Of course, it’s not big or clever to drink too much anyway.

If you don’t drink anything at all then you’re guaranteed to avoid a hangover. Perhaps this is the best solution we should be adhering to! It would save you a good few pennies in the bank as well!
