Do you have a bucket list? If so, what’s on it?
Obvious things on most people’s wish lists include things like doing a sky dive, visiting various exotic countries, running a marathon etc. Maybe even some more rock and roll ideas like getting a tattoo or riding a motorbike.
But one 99-old-woman made the headlines this week when she spent some time in a police cell in order to fulfil one of her life’s ambitions!
Annie, from the Netherlands, was placed in handcuffs in a police cell – much to her delight – after police officers learned of her unusual bucket list desire.
Lieutenant Peter Smit of the Nijmegen Zuid police station told The Independent: “She wanted to be in a police cell because of her bucket list.
“In her life she never committed any crime, and thought it would be exciting to experience. As you can see in the picture from our post, she found it hilarious to be in the inside with the handcuffs.”
Annie was only in the cell for a couple of minutes but enough time for officers to take some great pictures of her enjoying her experience. The subsequent Facebook page has received more than 5,400 likes.
I’d love to find out more about Annie and her life – as well as the rest of the requests on her bucket list. She sounds like a hoot.
No doubt someone will be turning this into a Hollywood blockbuster before long: Annie and her Bucket List.
