Are you ready for Black Friday?

Black Friday is just a week away and people have differing opinions on this relatively new phenomenon.

Black Friday is when leading stores across the country offer massive offers on products as people rush to buy Christmas presents for their loved ones at discounted prices.

People have often just been paid at this time, which gives shoppers even more resources to get those Christmas presents in, and then work out their budget to get them through December.

In America, Black Friday has been a big part of their culture for some time. We have all seen the pictures and videos of shoppers battling with each other so that they can be the first ones to reach Christmas presents in time.

It is only really over the last few years that Black Friday deals have begun in this country.

In 2014, the scenes on the high street were mayhem as shoppers desperately looked for the biggest bargains they could find.

But last year, things were not quite as busy in our shops because of the sheer number of people choosing to do their Christmas shopping online instead.

There are some incredible deals to be had if you can look around.

We usually associate Black Friday with the major retailers and online giants such as Amazon and Currys.

But there is no reason why a local business cannot jump on the bandwagon and offer some amazing deals themselves.

More people than ever before are expected to buy their Black Friday items using their smartphones, with an estimated £2.55billion expected to be generated through mobile purchases, according to the Mirror.

Some businesses are even making the sales last for the entire week as they look to maximise their takings, with Black Friday being the busiest day of the year for some retailers.

Whatever happens, Black Friday is certainly likely to see busy for shoppers and retailers as the festive season really does begin to kick in.
