If your pet hasn’t got their own social media account with a loyal following, you may be slightly behind the times!
Pet posting is a craze that is catching on a great speed, and for good reason – who doesn’t love seeing pictures of cute animals?
Try it for yourself – post a photograph of your posing pooch or modelling moggy on your chosen social media platform and see what happens. You’ll probably find it gets a lot more likes and shares than your usual selfies or snaps of your latest cooking triumph!
Animals have been taking over social media by storm – with many pets picking up thousands of followers and becoming mini celebrities.
Popular pooch posting includes a dog jumping on a trampoline, dogs pulling funny faces and four-legged friends who film themselves doing a variety of tricks.
Other popular animal accounts include grumpy cats, a huge chicken that ruffles his feathers, any animal in a ridiculous costume and any hamster pictures (because they are just so cute!).
Pets that build up really big followings can even make money from their fame – with companies paying to advertise on their pages and even pet modelling companies offering to use their services.
It must be quite hard posting with paws though – I’m bad enough typing with my fingers or texting with my clumsy thumbs!
