Whether you love him or hate him, one thing’s for certain – Donald Trump’s hair is ridiculous! Putting all intelligent conversation about politics aside – what is going on with that bouffant?
This week’s unveiling of a waxwork Trump at Madame Tussauds says it all. It took a team of hair specialists many weeks to create that coiffure and they had to use yak hair and lots of hairspray and backcombing to achieve it.
Tussauds waxwork hair and wig stylist Gemma Sim explained on BBC Radio 4 how yak hair has been used because it is coarser than human hair and better suited to the Trump look. It is now her job to style the waxwork figure’s hair every morning before the public arrive!
One news report also said squirrel hair was used to create THOSE eyebrows! I really hope that is true.
With the shiny skin and facial expression that never changes, I find pictures of the waxwork Trump more realistic than the man himself!
Tussauds general manager Edward Fuller said: “Since Mr Trump was announced as the victorious candidate in what was a nail-biting and hard-fought campaign for both parties, our studio team have been frantically busy matching his infamous glowing tan and trademark hairstyle in time for the start of his Presidential reign.
“Our guests will now find him standing imperiously in the Oval Office section within the attraction, where he’ll reside for the remainder of his Presidency.”
A worrying piece of gossip I heard this week is that children are now trying to recreate the quiff look themselves as it is set to be the latest hairstyle trend. NOOOO, don’t do it!
