Budding artists, builders and hairdressers in Newcastle are being offered free job training sessions this summer to help them boost their future career.
Organisers at Newcastle College are also offering a £1,200 grant for eligible 16 to 18 years old students who want to study full time.
The sessions will cover topics not usually covered in school including aerospace, beauty, business, automotive, art and design, childcare, construction, engineering, hairdressing and hospitality.
Deputy principal at Newcastle College, Carole Kitching said: “Offering Summer Schools really demonstrates not only the kinds of things you will learn, but also how these skills will be valuable in the work place.
The Newcastle College Summer School courses are completely free to 16-18 year olds.
