The BSM driving schools in Newcastle have launched an appeal for motoring memorabilia that they no longer own.
The British School of Motoring, which was founded in 1910, has a unique place in British motoring history and a rich history.
Over the years many BSM branded items have been misplaced and are no longer owned by the company. These include driving simulators from the early 1900s, old training manuals, documents, photographs and original BSM “L” plates.
The company is now looking to retrieve these items in order to protect the company’s heritage. They believe that the memorabilia is an important part of the history of the brand and business.
They have already managed to get back a number of objects including a 1935 driving manual and an original certificate of motoring competence from 1917.
But they are still looking for many more BSM related items.
If you know of the whereabouts of any BSM memorabilia, email details to Mark Peacock, Head of BSM, at amnesty@bsm.co.uk.
