North East firms benefit from free business advice

Businesses from across the North East will be gaining advice about how best to expand and develop their companies through two business support events to be held in Newcastle and Teesside.

The Business and Enterprise Group have arranged the two events that will take place on September 25 at Gosforth Park Hotel, Newcastle, and Wynyard Rooms, Billingham, on October 16.

Newcastle solicitors Sintons and the North East Chamber of Commerce (NECC) will be there to advise on legal matters in the event’s “Legal Zone”. The special area will host mini-workshops, seminars and demonstrations and people will be able to talk face to face with experts.

The NECC will showcase some of its member benefits at the event which include Business Essentials Online, an online advice service and HR helpline developed for NECC by HR specialists Croner.

The service usually costs £750 per year but it can be accessed free of charge for NECC members.

The legal experts from Sintons will be there to discuss aspects of company formation, employment matters, commercial property, contracts and much more.

NECC head of marketing Charlie Nettle said: “NECC’s primary aim is to make the North East a success.

“We hope that by supporting the Business Plus events we can demonstrate some of the sound legal services that are available to help businesses and drive development and growth across our whole business community.

“We are pleased to be working with member firm Sintons and for them providing their expertise and representing the strong legal presence that the wider NECC network enjoys.”

Head of marketing at Sintons, Charles Penn, added: “In order to be successful, businesses need to receive sound advice on a number of different areas, and both ourselves and NECC feel it is vital that we can inform them as to what services are at their disposal.”
