A firm of business advisers and chartered accountants in Darlington and Durham are aiming to continue with their growth plans by appointing a new director.
Clive Owen & Co LLP, which has two offices in the North East, has welcomed back former employee Kevin Shotton. He initially worked for the firm straight after he completed his degree in economics and law at Durham University.
Mr Shotton, who is from Washington, Wearside, joined the firm in 2002 and stayed there until December 2005 when he qualified as a chartered accountant.
Shotton then moved to Ernst and Young accountants in Newcastle where he gained knowledge and experience in the corporate market. Since he qualified as a chartered accountant he has worked with a variety of owner-managed businesses and has gained knowledge of regulated companies, IFRS and transport companies.
Clive Owen & Co LLP partner, Tony Luckett, said: “We are delighted to welcome Kevin back to the firm. As we continue to move the practice forward and remain focused on further developments and new initiatives, it is essential we have the right team in place. Kevin is an excellent addition to the firm and his skills will be a valuable asset.”
Mr Shotton said: “It is great to be back at Clive Owen. I feel I can add more now that I have gained other experience. It is exciting to see how the firm has progressed over recent years and this is the right move for me now. I am really looking forward to the future here.”
