Victoria Beckham makes the small screen her next venture

A mother of four, wife to superstar footballer, Spice Girl and fashion designer is onto the next chapter of her career, and she’s not even 40 yet. Exhausted just thinking about it?

Victoria Beckham has teamed up with Skype to create a documentary-style transmission about her life in a ‘groundbreaking’ broadcast, according to The Mirror. The online phone and instant messenger firm announced the news that it will be revealing a behind-the-scenes delve into the icon’s global fashion brand.

The social networking giant said: “Skype will bring the story of a driven designer and businesswoman to life in a groundbreaking storytelling format, as well as offer inspiration to fashion enthusiasts, aspiring creatives and entrepreneurs.”

It is not yet understood exactly what that format will be, but as well as broadcasting the show via the medium in a pioneering manner, Skype says it intends to use its interactive capabilities to the full, giving viewers the chance to interact directly with Posh. It announced: “We’re thrilled to be a part of the Victoria Beckham story, and look forward to sharing it with you soon.”

The insight into Mrs B’s business will be fascinating for followers and fans of fashion, who will get a rare glimpse into the workings of the industry and a successful brand. Victoria’s dynamic dealings with the digital world could be said to be marketing brilliance, and hats off to Skype for its leap into broadcast.

Victoria’s relationship with Skype goes way back. She has made no secret of the fact she is a hard working mother who travels a great deal, and the online tool has become vital to her career, especially when she and her family were living in LA: “Most evenings, I’m curled up in front of Skype, in my dressing gown, speaking with my studio in London.”
