New barber shop opening in Darlington by BB star

Anthony Hutton, Big Brother winner in 2005, is turning his back on his showbiz career and planning to get a ‘proper job’.

Anthony, a former dancer from Consett, County Durham, won the sixth series of the reality television programme and has managed to worked to maintain his place in the spotlight.

He has starred in a number of pantomime roles, released a fitness DVD and appeared at many celebrity football matches and charity events.

30 year old Anthony has made the decision to step away from the public eye and start to earn a living as a hairdresser.

He previously worked at a hairdressers in Newcastle before he entered the Big Brother house and he is now going back to his roots and is planning to open a barbers shop in Darlington, called ‘Dude’.

He said: “I have blagged as many pantos as I can in the last three years but it’s time to get a proper job.

Anthony is notorious for his on camera romping in the hot tub with fellow housemate Makosi Musambasi. In the end, his cheeky personality and good looks made him a favourite with the public and we won the £100,000 prize money.

He showed off his footballing skills in 2005 and 2006 when he took part in Sky One’s The Match playing alongside other celebrities.

He recently split up with Pop Idol finalist Zoe Birkett last year after a four-year relationship.

He said; “I have blagged as many pantos as I can in the last three years…now I want to run my own business.”
